How To Contact Us

National Association of Mortgage Underwriters, Inc. (DBA: NAMU) is a "for profit" Florida corporation with a mailing address at: Presidential Circle -- 4000 Hollywood Blvd. -- Suite 555-South -- Hollywood, FL 33021. You can email us at contact@mortgage-underwriters.org or call us at (954)323-7516. You can also fax us at (954)323-7518.

Course Updates: Mortgage regulations & guidelines can change throughout the year. With that said, we make every effort to keep our students updated and do this in a variety of ways. We start with an annual review of each course to determine if full, partial or no revamping is needed, and will revise the course(s) once a year accordingly. We also give each student one year to ask questions directly to our instructors which can help in gaining clarity on any new legislative or rule changes not reflected in the course content. From here, we may put together supplemental “update” webinars, if deemed necessary -- which are made available to each “active” student upon request, at no extra cost. Finally, we post weekly training videos and articles within our weekly e-newsletter, The Mortgage Standard, which often cover breaking mortgage news & proposed legislative changes.

Member/Certificant Complaint Resolution (Not Provided): We do not get involved in member/certificant complaint resolution, and as such, will not become the judge or jury in deciding who is right and who is wrong.

Refund Policy: No refunds or credits will be issued if a student and/or customer has logged into any recorded/“live” webinar course or has requested a Certificate of Completion for the course/certification/bootcamp/bundled package purchased. If a student and/or customer has not logged into a recorded/“live” webinar course or has not requested a Certificate of Completion, the customer is entitled to a full refund (minus a $75 administrative cancellation fee) provided a refund request is received in writing or via e-mail by NAMU® within (5) calendar days from the date of purchase. NOTE: there are no refunds on corporate sponsorship packages that include advertising, “brand awareness” initiatives, email marketing, banner ads, etc.

NAMU® Membership Phased Out (UPDATE NOTICE): NAMU® Membership was phased out on 08/25/17; therefore, NAMU® membership is no longer offered for sale. As a result, NAMU® Membership is not a requirement to obtain/maintain active NAMU® certification. Please note that all existing active NAMU® members will still have membership benefits until his/her NAMU® membership expires.

Discount/Special Offer Disclaimer: After a purchase is made, all discounts, special offers, bundled package deals & coupons cannot be combined with any other current or future special offer, promotion, discount or group offer.

Yearly Re-Certification Policy: The National Association of Mortgage Underwriters® (NAMU®) added a new yearly re-certification requirement in June 2016. This policy requires all new NAMU® certificants to get re-certified each year in order to maintain active NAMU® certification. However, all active NAMP® certificants that received NAMU® certification prior to June 2016 will be “grandfathered in” and not required to get re-certified each year. These "grandfathered in" NAMU® certificants must still adhere to the NAMU® Code of Ethics for NAMU® certification to remain active.

Certification Standards: Individuals applying for NAMU® certification must comply with the highest level of ethical and moral standards. Exclusions from obtaining NAMU® certification may include individuals who have a felony conviction for theft, embezzlement, murder or any violent crime including rape, or a tax-fraud felony conviction. Those convicted of felonies of a financial nature are not eligible to sit for any of the certification exams. Note: by submitting an application, you are authorizing NAMU® access to your confidential information including employment, academic, and criminal records. This authorization is in effect until permission is revoked in writing (by mail, e-mail, or fax).

NAMU® Membership/NAMU® Certification Revocation: We reserve the right, at any time, to revoke your NAMU membership and/or NAMU® certification for reasons including (but not limited to) violation of the NAMU® Code of Ethics, expiration of NAMU® membership/certification, etc.

Use of NAMU® Logo & Name on Promotional Materials: We do NOT allow members/certificants to use the NAMU® logo/name on any promotional materials (i.e. business cards, websites, brochures, online/print advertising, etc.). However, you may list your active NAMU®-certification and active NAMU® membership on your resume and LinkedIn.com profile. For example,  you may add the NAMU® certification acronym to your LinkedIn.com profile name (for example, John Smith, NAMP®-CMMU). You may also add the NAMU® certification to your LinkedIn.com "Certifications" section of your profile, i.e. Certified Master Mortgage Underwriter (NAMU®-CMMU). NOTE: Please do NOT add your NAMU Member # as the "License #”. Remember, your NAMU® certification is not a license; it is strictly a “professional development” program.

Training & Certification Disclaimer: By registering for any NAMU® or NAMP® class/certification program you hereby acknowledge you have fully read and agree to the NAMU® Terms of Use. NAMU® is a Florida corporation, and all training & certification offered through NAMU® is "professional development" and is for informational purposes only (not to serve as licensure training or legal advice). Obtaining NAMP®/NAMU® certification does not imply you are an "expert" or "licensed" in any mortgage related field -- it simply means you have taken (X) hours of training, passed a timed online proctored exam and passed a third-party background check. It also does not guarantee you will find a job. We do not provide job placement assistance. We are not owned, operated or affiliated with HUD, FHA, VA, State Government or Federal Government in any way. NAMP®/NAMU® certification is not a local, State or Federal Government issued certification. We reserve the right, at any time, to strengthen and enhance any NAMP®/NAMU® certification by changing curriculum and/or discontinuing any of the training classes included in any NAMP®/NAMU® certification. We also reserve the right, at any time, to change the NAMP®/NAMU® certification process and/or discontinue any NAMP®/NAMU® certification altogether.

If you agree to have Sterling Talent Solutions run your background check as it relates to a NAMU®/ NAMP® certification, you shall hold harmless and indemnify  NAMU® and its agents, directors, officers, members, employees and/or volunteers from any and all claims, loss, damage, costs (including court costs & attorney fees) however caused resulting from or arising out of or in any way connected to the background check conducted on your behalf by Sterling Talent Solutions.
