Americans could soon face another increase in borrowing costs as the Federal Reserve prepares for a highly anticipated interest rate decision. Although the nation continues to face a long-term housing shortage, many builders are becoming increasingly cautious about launching new projects until affordability improves and consumer confidence strengthens.
An effort to curb the practice of churning VA home loans took a major step this month. U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts, and Thom Tillis, R-North Carolina, recently introduced the Protecting Veterans from Predatory Lending Act of 2018.
